Rendering

So, I know the basics to rendering but I'm wondering how I can polish up my renders.



I did render that and I'll probably re-render it to clean it up but how do you fix up the spots in between the hair and the arms? I'm completely new to Photoshop so I have no idea. I don't want the background to show up when I'm making my sig. Any help is appreciated, thanks. :D

Best tool to use, pen tool. Best way to get clean and much better quality renders. Slightly easier to learn is the polygonal lasso. Take your pick

Yes, pen tool is what you'll wanna use. Search some tutorials and get learning how to use it. It's a bit tricky at first but when you get the hang of it, you can do amazing stuff.

If there is one thing I've learned when working on renders and other similar activities, it is that less is more. I always used to end up erasing too much excess from a piece and end up with choppy edges.

Always seems like it is easier to tell when you erase or edit out too much (i.e. choppy edges) than it is to tell that too much has been left.
