where does this happen the most?: your trying to explain a thought or feeling you have that hard to say to someone who nomally understands you very well and they just dont get it?

in my situation my patner cant understand why i feel a certain way about some relationship stuff and for the life of me i cant figure out how to explain it to them and sadly due to a promise i cant go into much more detail

You can always explain your feelings. Even if it's poorly worded out. It happens. But I find it strange that you're having trouble explaining these feelings to your partner. It should be easier to explain it to her/him since (I assume) it's the person who's closer to you.

I would have to say that about 1/10th of the time nobody understands what I really mean when I say something (I usually just feel good if they got the general idea).

i promised i would tell anyone about our problem so im sorry i cant give more details, but i wanted to know if theres anything you guys do to get another person to understand the way you're thinking when just explaining it to them fails.
