Sig File size

Hello all, I am about to redesign my current sig but I would like to know what sig file size is "acceptable" to the general consensus.

So the question is:
What is the maximum file size acceptable for an animated GIF signature?

Answer this in your own opinion and/or add in information of whatever you think is right, and reasons if possible.

Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated =p

1-1½MB imo.

Ugh. Mine is barely half of a MB. There's absolutely no reason for there to be a Sig that is up to 2MB

1Mb is more than enough, imho

Your sig is not a gif.

1~2MB sounds suffice

The larger the size the longer the loading lags therefore large sigs get irritating at times. I'd keep it under 1mb. It would also be nice if you wouldn't go over 200-250 pixels in hight (without using a spoiler tag) but I doubt that a higher gif would still have proper filesize.

Ah, my bad. I read the title of the thread, and not really what he said. I was just thinking sig file in general. Lrn 2 Read I guess in the future for myself.

yea, i wont be going over 200, in fact im thinking of shrinking it

My current sig is 200x635 and its like 2.6MB >.< really need to make the file size smaller.

All the feedback so far have been really helpful, keep em coming =P and if i can manage to get a stabilized sig ready, ill probably start another thread for sig making =p
