Well here's what happened.
a few days ago i got out of my friends car and my ipod slipped out of my pocket and hit the concrete. then it shut off and when i turned it back on
it froze for around half a hour. later that day when i went to play some music, this is when the real problem starts. some songs on my ipod when i play them now will make my ipod freeze for long periods of time or the songs will just automatically skip over to the next song. also sometimes a song will make this strange beep noise then stop playing. then it will either freeze the ipod or fast forward or skip the song.
i don't know if the song's corrupted or not because i'm not sure if corruption can happen from physical damage or not?
But if i go and replace the song it will work perfectly fine but the thing is that i bought a new laptop recently and all my music is on my new laptop and i had the harddrive cleared and i'm too lazy to download all of that music back onto my ipod cause that would take days.
i have a u2 special edition ipod, fifth generation i believe? it's basically a ipod video with a better lookwell the question is
how do i fix this? do you know any software that could copy the songs back into my new itunes or anyother type of solution? about 2/3 of the songs on my ipod have this problem now. know how to fix this?
