Not talking about those guys that are in bands or those guys who record themselves or put it on youtube or whatever.
It's those guys at your schools, at your work, at the malls who just carry a guitar around everywhere. They emit a hubris vibe whenever they whip out their guitar and they play a few songs to show off. It might not be so bad, but I just keep seeing it everywhere. I understand if you play because you don't have enough money, but I guess I just hate it when people crave attention through such a common medium.
Maybe I'm wrong. Should I accept it?

I especially hate it when the guitar guys are violent homeless kids that play bad guitar loudly outside my building while begging people for booze money.

There was this one bass player in our school's jazz band 2 years ago. I remember him always in the band room afterschool playing for maybe a whole hour before leaving. It wasn't too annoying though, just obnoxiously loud.

Well it doesn't happen that often where I live. Actually, the best you'll get is a gypsy (don't know if the word is negatively connoted in the English language, so excuse me if it is rude) playing a few songs on the train.
As a thumb rule, as long as the person knows how to play and isn't just playing the same song he learned full of agony in 15 minutes over and over again, I don't mind them.

There was this guy in my school, he would bring his guitar and just play for hours straight, even during classes.
If attention is what he was seeking, then, it worked, he had lots of girls rounding on him, and even some boys too.
Can't say it bothered me much, he usually kept as quiet as possible and stayed not too close to class.
Now, you shouldn't accept them all. Another guy I knew, didn't play the guitar but tried juggling instead, with disastrous results...
