It's just running a virtual XP in the background, which is kinda taking a step back in my eyes. Plus you'd have to buy the license for XP if that was the case, and then we'll end up with it only being marketed at companies that can't switch programmes to 'newer versions' that would work with Windows 7. For instance, I can't play Quake II on Windows 7 drivers. If I was a paying customer, I wouldn't pay 200-400+ to obtain software licenses just to play it. I'd fire up my older computers first.

Windows 7 is the only Windows OS I can tolerate these days. XP is ok, but too outdated, Vista has its faults, and 98SE is too old for me to cling to.
Windows 7 beta is heavily broken in some areas and the NTFS driver is quite broken when dealing with 10+GB drive transfers. Got a BSOD and lost something that time. I am running 7000 though, so I'm not on RC yet. Should be nice...
