Wasn't this bad before.

Have any of you ever loved something as a child, and then revisited it recently as an adult for nostalgia sake, then think "I don't remember this being this terrible. What the hell was I thinking as a kid?"

I had this feeling when I decided to watch Big Bad Beetleborgs, recently. I could barely make it through the intro, and the show just left me cringing hard. I have no idea what I saw in that show as a kid.

I once thought that Commando was a good movie.

The donkey kong Country TV show.
Oh my I didn't remember how shitty looking it was.

Pretty sad considering Insektors came out earlier and looked pretty good in comparison (I kinda recommend the watch in US dub, the UK one is a rewrite).

Other than that.... The super mario bros movie and The superman comics.

I hear ya, I loved that show as well, and I also remember getting happy meal toys based on the show. You can tell now that it was targeted for kids, not adults.

Space cases, it left off on a cliffhanger so I just wanted to rewatch it for nostalgia sake. Now I know why it was canceled.

tried to re-watch it last month (got dubbed version of bakabt, don't think there is a sub version) but found it cheesy and the voice acting flat

The City Hunter movie with Jackie Chan.
I loved the movie as a child and decided to re-watch it November last year.
I was devasted of how bad the plot was... (but still laughed at some points)

Pokemon. Most famous offender I can think of. Shit just started going from decent to "let's shove in all the typical anime cliches and comedy faces we can think of".

I have no idea why I didn't realize how awful those verse lyrics were when I was younger. That, and I can't even stress how badly that god-awful CG hurts my eyes.



Holy shit! I remember watching that. Completely forgotten it existed, as well as it's name. There's a handful of Nick shows that I recall watching, but have no recollection of their names.



Not to mention DK's weird accent. Wasn't that show part musical, as well?

To be honest I had to bear with the french version, so that wasn't as bad.
Also yeah it was part musical, for the pleasure of many.



Oh yeah, DK was the showman for the kid's corner on the channel the show was broadcast. I guess that's cool.

For me it was more movies such as the NeverEnding Story, Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 the movies. I believe I've repressed all the other movies and TV shows cuz I can't really think of them.

Damn! I wish I was as smooth as DK.

• Bedknobs and broomsticks

• All the classic animated disney movies

• Digimon Adventure season 1, both dub and japseye

• English dub of Cardcaptor Sakura

• Pokémon S1. While a classic some of it was pretty shit. Brock and his fucking doughnuts.

• Peter Pan and the Pirates. The fox animated TV show. I mostly remember it for the nightmare fuel final episode and Tim Curry as a badass Captain Hook, but I ran a marathon of the show recently and lost interest.

And some games.

Yes, and it's still fucking amazing. The first movie is still one of my favourites.
