what graphics card do i have

my dad fixed my computer but i cant play games for some reason. so i was wandering how you check what graphic card you have without opening the computer

Several ways. I guess you're in Windows, so open up Start -> Run (Vista, not sure if it's called that in XP, alternatively hit Winkey + R.) to open up a command line, enter 'dxdiag', switch to the Display tab and check what's listed under 'Devices' or go into your control panel and open the device manager (Vista) or the hardware manager (I believe it's that one. (XP)).
