what/who do you want to work for?

well people, we all have a dream, some are realistic, some are not as realistic, but still, you got to dream, and you can cant you not? so what i wish to ask you all is, what do you want to be? or what company do you want to work for? well me personally i have said once that i wish to work in the music business, and be a Guitarist. also when you state waht/who you want to work for, what interested you about it so much? for me being a Guitarist is something i want to do because i love music, and i love making it, so that is something i want to do with my life.

A CPA. (Certified Public Accountant.) I'm currently studying to reach that goal, and I find accounting to be pretty interesting when you get down and gritty with it. It's starting annual base salary is $52,000, which was also majorly influenced my decision to become a CPA. Since all companies need to be reviewed by a CPA as mandated by the U.S. government, I wouldn't be working for a sole client but multiple ones. Though the accounting firm I would work at is something I will research myself when I get nearer to taking the CPA exam, which won't be for another 4 years or so.

I want to get my Net+, A+, MCP and MCIE certifications respectively. I already know enough to get my A+, and the MCP at its' core IS the A+ [with a lot of other things, mind you], so I won't need to study TOO long for that. The Net+ I could have had at one time, but now I'm really rusty at networking issues and have to start all over :( As for the MCSE [Microsoft Certified System Engineer], that's probably gonna take me a few years minimum before I get it. I also eventually want to get my Linux+ and to specialize in Router Programming. I used to program those suckers like no tomorrow, though I will say programming Access-lists [ACL's] were an enourmous pain in my arse. I miss programming routers :(

@AT9: Very nice, but the reason why I stayed away from the computer programming field is because that kind of service is being offshored and outsourced as we speak. Plus, both my parents are programmers, and in light of the recent economy, people in the IT sector are getting laid off left and right.

I woulda thought that job, of all jobs, would be safe from such things. I guess nothings' safe in light of this current ecomomy situation. Its' all good I suppose; my passion is my passion. If I'm not doing it as a job, rest assured I'm doing it as a hobby [I'm such a freak; fixing computers/equipment for fun].

I didn't have to money to actually take it at the end of the class, but I did pretty well on the practice test that served as the final exam. I used to think it would be an alright thing for me to do, but I then realized that the engineering of the human body was more interesting to me.
But I've already failed at any worthwhile aspirations. I guess I still have a fair chance in mixed martial arts if I started training again soon, but I'm pretty lazy.
So currently, I have no idea what work would be both ideal and reasonable for me.
