Why only anime?

The rules thread is locked so I'm making my own thread.
Is it for legal reasons that non-anime/porn torrents aren't allowed or is it to avoid crowding or something? I can say as a matter of experience that most other forms of media are not terribly popular. Aside from retards asking for things like the current season of 24 or something requests are usually limited to things like anime/video game OSTs and the occasional one season underground cult favourite show.
It really doesn't matter to me one way or another but I'd just like to know why.

1. As for why you can?t put on even cult shows, I?m guessing it has to do with the way intellectual property is handled in the US. Unlike in Japan where publishers turn a blind eye to the doujinshi market that use their copyrighted characters, most US companies would not tolerate such works and would probably take legal action. There?s very little chance that small sites like this one could win such a legal battle and even if it could there?s no way it could afford to pay for all the legal fees to win it. Plus as mentioned below anime is still only a niche market in the US so many anime companies probably allow the downloading to get people interested.
2. I?m not sure if this is what you were getting at but I?ve noticed that it?s much easier to find high quality hentai or manga for free online then it is to find live action porn. At the same time it seems that the live action porn is a lot cheaper than its anime counterparts, which I would saw to be roughly 3 to 20 times more expensive (only 20 times more expensive when comparing it to the cheapest porn I could find, $.10, to the cheapest hentai I could find, $1.98 ).
Anime and hentai both represent niche markets here in the US. As a result the supply is relatively low causing the price to be high. The high prices are why I generally only buy the regular porn instead of hentai when I spend money since I have no strong preference for either type. It basically comes down to a discussion like this example: for $10 I can buy one installment of the hentai ?School of Bondage? series or I can buy 3 or 4 installments of the ?Whoriental Sex Academy?. Not to mention that generally speaking most hentai DVDs are only 30 minutes while most regular porn movies I?ve bought were 90 minutes long.
I?m guessing that the high prices which make people like me less likely to buy hentai is what fuels the demand for more free online content. And since there aren?t many people buying hentai anyways, the publishers turn a blind eye since as of now the best they can hope for is that enough people enjoy the hentai by downloading it for free they?ll go out and buy it in spite of the high prices.
This isn?t the case with either regular porn or the rest of the entertainment industry. The regular porn industry also has an extremely powerful presence online; it makes it more or less impossible for an ad free site like this one to exist without a fee. The closest thing I can think of would be pornotube but I?d say most of its content (90-95%) is advertisements, crap, or both. This is because the existing porn companies probably decided it was in their best interests to take over or take control of the new site in order to protect their share of the market. Not to mention that the porn market is so oversaturated with product that they practically give it away to get rid of excess storage, i.e. theres no reason to go looking for free porn when you can buy 10 videos for $30 and especially not when many porn downloads carry viruses.
Also, cheap ripoffs of popular shows in China are severely cutting into the profits of major industries like Hollywood so their probably hypersensitive to anyone what has been determined to be their property rights.

Short answer: Most anime are not licensed but most TV shows, video games, and live action porn are not. Since FAKKU is more of an H-doujinshi site than a live porn site, that rules out j-porn. Which leaves anime porn.

Also keep in mind that this is a hentai site, so we should probably keep to the anime/hentai theme. Regular porn is fine and all, but as far as FAKKU's concerned, it's probably a better idea to leave it to other sites.

Legal reasons, yeah I figured. Most hentai (or porn) forums I go on do tend to cross dabble though so it isn't exactly unheard of to allow torrents of varying types, but like I said, doesn't matter to me one way or the other.
