At least the guy finally said something. I agree it isn't a thread that requires a lot of critical thought, but instead of bashing him for posting in the random and not the incoherent babbling (which apparently is more rediculous than the other), you could just point him in the right direction. The thread may not be 'high quality' or up to everyone's standards, but give the guy a break. He finally says contributes
something, and instead of taking the high road and not posting anything, Waar posted something negative which basically says gtfo and never come back. Come on guys...
Wasn't there a thread not too long ago that was created by Jacob or some other admin discussing politeness and how we can save this community? If you can't find anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
haha, grow the fuck up... this is reality, you're not in the right place if you want civility, in fact the internets seems to be the wrong place for you entirely if you want a "hi, how are you, can I suck your dick for you? oh by the way could you pretty please with sugar on top post in the right section from now on? thanks and sorry for the inconvenience"... We spoke about this thread in greater detail through pm's and I believe he understands where I'm coming from, the point he was most upset was being referred to as a "newfag" with such an old join date.
When bad threads which belonged in other sub forums started showing up, I started by being civil, asking politely (yes I can be polite sometimes) for some consideration of the rules... and then more just kept coming, and more, and more, and so on... You can only stay civil so long before you just have to facedesk and say "fuck being a nice guy, it's not working". So that's where I'm at now, I'm not going to apologize if I turn anyone away, if they stop posting because someone was blunt with them then the community doesn't really need them anyway. The people we want to keep are those with a bit of tough skin, people that can take a verbal debate and not explode when it turns ugly... If you can't handle that you should probably check out www.carebears.com , that may be closer to what you're looking for.
also TDSA, I enjoy when people agree with me but you're doing it for the wrong reason... rep should not be a basis for either of us to be judged... if you agreed with my points; sure, but don't discount his arguments simply because my rep trumps his.
that's my piece for now, gonna hit the sack.
