Windows Movie maker codecs question

Hi all.
I have a problem concerning my WMM. I made some AMV´s and the most vids are already in Mkv.format and h264. My problem now is: Is there any way to make mkv´s work with Moviemaker, or are there any updates i need? I tried to convert the MKv into Avi, but then theres still the H264 problem?

Anyone here who could give me advice?

What file type is inside the mkv? video audio and do you care about the subs being used?

i see looks like you must be download from animesenshi for that mkv. format,
you need an mkv converter find it in google and you need the keygen for the converter too

you can use format factory. i use it for all my converting needs, and it's a freeware too.

Its a normal anime episode with audio+video, and No i dont mind the subs being inside or not.
Ill try it with format factory for now, hoping it works
