I assume you're using a router. Access the control page for whatever router you're using and make sure it it recognizes the your 360's MAC address. You can find that by going to system settings in your 360. It's probably not connecting because it's not set to allow your 360 to access the net.

So,my problem IS a router. Well,I have several wireless routers,but none of them are anywhere in range of my 360,nor connected. So,would I need a computer,for a wireless router to work?

Well you need a computer to access your router. Find one that can detect your 360. Then with that router, allow 360 to access it.

For a ethernet connection. Well you would need a cord that connects to the router but this one won't need you to go through all that wireless security crap. Since it's direct connection.

Hey panda I'd go for the direct connect its easier cheaper and alot less hassle also i heard that the xbox live wireless has random D/C's so went for the cable unfortunately i had to get a 35ft ethernet cable <---fail....but it works.

What he said. The 360's wireless router thing is as much as a joke as a rip-off, the only reason I got the 360 is for Halo and Gears of War.

Yes they do those money grubbin bastard. But damn they can make some damn good games. So I guess it balnces itself out once i get my new game i shut up and play and mumble and complain later.

Lol I have to agree wireless is rather sketchy but then again I have a mate who uses wireless and it runs a-okay.

If you're a real gamer don't use Wireless. Wireless is always sketchy no matter what. Direct Connection is FTW.

Cable internet is always faster and always reliable (unless a mouse starts comping on you internet wires, then yeah)
