Your Favorite Comic or Graphic Novel

My favorite comic seris is definitly X-men and my favorite graphic novel has to be The Killing Joke(a batman novel)!

I love Green Lantern.

Right now it would be Walking Dead.

Long run it would be spider-man.

I guess Y the Last man.

I don't really like all the comic heroes because it feels like I am reading a book from the middle whenever I pick one up. There is just so much that already has happened that its hard to get into.

Favorite Series?
It doesn't quite count as a series, but I love the Elseworlds Publications - stuff like Kingdom Come, The Dark Knight Returns, Red Son, the Nail, etc. They're always really interesting takes on the classic characters of the DC Universe.

Ya elseworld produces great graphic novels, my favorite has to be Kingdom Come, Batman proves no matter how old and crippled you are with money you can do anything!

Right now im really into Dark tower the gunslinger born and the long road home.

Witchblade is the only comic I'm reading at the moment, thanks entirely to the manga and the anime getting me hooked on the premise.

i really like the graphic novel rave master. It is very happy go lucky, but for some reason i just enjoy it. Plus i enjoy the animation style.

Right now I'm really into Buffy Season 8 and Serenity: Better Days. Also waiting for Heroes Volume 2 in hardback to come out as well.

As for manga, I'm in the middle of too many to list right now. ><

well my fave is definatly iron man i love that series :)and i also have lots of the original comix in my basment lol :D

I would definately say Witchblade, such an awesome Idea, however, I think the manga version does not do it justice in comparison to the original comic.

So in short
Pezzani = Good
Takeru = Bad

I'm not very far into the original Witchblade comic, but is it even possible for the manga/anime and the comic blades to be the same weapon? I mean, there are so many differences between the two (three?) versions of the blade, how it manifests its' powers, what it does for it's wielder... to it's wielder...

Those big Marvel/DC titles are ok, but give the less main stream stuff a chance too. Generally, I find the titles I've listed to be better written, more hardcore, original, and entertaining. You reach a point where reading about [random hero/super team] saving the [city/earth/universe/all reality] from [random villain/evil force] just doesn't do it anymore =). Try these

6 - Astro City by Kurt Busiek

BroadSword Comics - Tarot Witch of the Black Rose

First got drawen into it cuz of the t@a but it has a really good story line. I give it two thumbs up.
