I got up this morning, and my computer wasn't working.

Yesterday, I updated my linux kernel, and the wireless card was again MIA.
I say again, because this has happened before. NOT ONLY will the wireless not work, but the computer is telling me that there is not a card installed.


So, I monkeyed around for awhile, and searched the support forums. I found myself reading a thread complaining about the wireless connection on the computer itself not working.
They said the light was orange.
My light was orange.
o.O

So, I spent an hour un-doing everything that I had done to "get it to work".
And then I pressed the physical "turn on the fucking card" button.

What.
The.
Fuck.

You're an idiot.

I forgot to mention. I fixed it last time with a COMPLETE SYSTEM RE-INSTALL.

There is a point. As a person who uses Tech Support as his main source of income, it's important to remember the first question:

"Is your computer plugged in?"
