I honestly think It would be worse to think that we are the only life forms out there mainly because it would mean once humanity gets wiped out(and when the earth dies or the sun go's super nova obviously) life itself is completely wiped out

Just because life is wiped out does not mean new life cannot come into existence in the future. Evolution's wonderful like that.

I somewhat agree, but I don't really think either case is scary. We're made up of star dust, and that very star dust is spread out all over the universe. It wouldn't be too farfetched to think that there are other lifeforms out there that came into existence.
