[Locked] Downloads.......

Hey guys, i was wondering where the download links went. That was one of my favorite things about the site.

No. It won't be funny. See, you're new, so these are fresh to you. I've been here for a year, and I've had to see this stupid question asked almost everyday since the downloads went down. And I don't mean asked in the proper thread either. It's not funny any more.

You're right. But newbs will be newbs no matter how many times one opens a thread and gets the same exact answer as the last person.

Like I said, no excuse. You come to this site and register, you agree to have not only read the rules, but also have some common sense and SOME basic forum knowledge, like knowing where to look for something or how to search for it, in case it's already been asked before. We're not your parents, we are other anonymous users somewhere else in the globe. We're are not going to hold your hand through these forums, because quite frankly, if you're old enough to be here, you're also most likely old enough to fend and think for yourself.

And thanks, though it's been a while since I last updated it, though. Should change it now...

If i may give you an exemple ; A guy is on a trip in a city he don't know , he's kind of lost and ask his way to a pedestrian and he totaly starts to freak out , I HAD ENOUGH OF THOSE FUCKING TOURISTS THAT ASK ME THE WAY TO THE TACO BELL FOR FUCK SAKE BUY A FUCKING MAP !

Yeah he could have bought a map , but is it really that hard to help another men and just say : "next street turn to your left ?" . You have no right nor any reason to let your anger out on one men for a probleme that isn't really his fault . Not only that but because of your reaction , because of one error that he did , he might never come back to your country because he will think that people there are assholes . I know it's the internet , but beign gentle with new people is really important in real life .

And if you can't , if you have no interest in helping others , that you even hates that , why don't you just shut the fuck up , ignore this thread and let the moderators do their job !? If you're old enough to be on this forum , you should be able to do that , right ? ;)

While I understand your frustration (indeed it is my own), you should probably refrain from yelling at new users. A good 90% of new forum users aren't going to read the rules upon joining, and it's not like the rules are written up very well anyway. It is unfortunate, but most people in the world are fairly careless and don't take much time to think things through before they do something.
If there's one thing I've learned from managing websites/services, it's that unless you slap new people in the face with the information they want, they're not going to know how to find it. (Even that doesn't work sometimes.) And since Jacob isn't going to stick huge red text on the front page saying why the downloads are gone, us moderators have to clean up.
