Electronic Clothes?

Well I got around to thinking a few hours before I joined, what if we had computer chips that could keep our clothes clean with tiny little robots that
remove dirt and make the clothes smell nice, you could probably put in a heating system to or a fan system to cool you're body down, maybe using liquid heating/cooling? I think it's a good idea, the clothes would obviously be expensive, but hey? If I didn't have to do laundry every damn day because of it I'd be happy enough... Although I think dryers and washing machine companies would go out of business, but for the better sake of man kind, and all of it's lazy glory.

What about holographic clothing?
Wait... that means people can walk around... NAKED. *dun dun dun*

Yes this is a serious discussion. As for the clothes, I think that instead of buying a shirt with a microchip in it, you should have shirts with slots, for a microchip, the shirt itself would have an automatic programming so you wouldn't be buying a $400 cpu every time you purchased a shirt instead, for daily wear you could just take out the chip from your old one and put in the new one, in case you want to change styles, liquid heating cooling and self cleaning wouldn't be all that expensive, you could have your shoes and pants also have microchips, the shoes could form to your feet and massage in certain areas. There are many more possibilities I can think of for electric clothing. The CPU would also have storage for more programs thus improving your shirt, there could also be people trained to fix the shirts like electronic tailors.

Let's put in a camera, a cellphone, an MP3 player, a DVD player and a toilet dispenser in that shirt, shall we?

With all the stuff that nanotechnology will supposedly eventually be able to do, this would be elementary, but not that high on the priority list.

Let's not run before we can even walk. Before we get to all that nice nanotech enabled stuff, I think we're gonna have breakthrough's in materials science first, like more durable, stain/temperature resisitant, fabrics. One day they will look upon the Haggar Wrinkle free khaki and think "Those savages!"

Well I think we may advance when most womens clothing covers more than just two areas. This is my opinion though, I also thing guys should start wearing suits. But I do believe electronic clothes are so far away, surely by the end of our lifetimes we will hopefully get to see them by then, well hopefully global warming doesn't incinerate us before those self drying clothes :P

Sure do i would like to have a tuxido like that.
But what would hapen if u get some kind of error and you skirt start hittig peaple and so on.
And holographi clothing what would you do if they were nonfunctionig wen u are in a market or somthing?

Well I guess BioMechanical suits could also work, but seeing as it's living a lot of people wouldn't like it because they are wearing a "living breathing animal". No offense to people who think that.

There are SO many things wrong with that idea, I think my post would take down the entire forum if I tried to list them all.
