GovCensorship Reviving SOPA Section201 Will make all felons!

The government just doesn't quit it with this shit! Remember SOPA? Yeah well it's back, or rather just the part that makes it a felony to upload copyrighted content of any kind. Does anybody else know about this already?

Things that are felonies:

• Murder

• Rape

• Arson

• Assault, specifically if the incident causes severe bodily harm

• Theft, specifically if the amount stolen reaches a certain monetary threshold

Things this would make into felonies:

• If you're doing a Let's Play playing a videogame online (Retsupurae, SuperGreatFriend, etc.), you're a felon.

• If you're singing karaoke with your buddies in a video, you're a felon.

• If you want to post a parody video of an anime using clips (TeamFourStar, Medaka MINT, etc.) or of a movie using clips, you're a felon.

With a felony you:
Might get community service, you might get a fine, or you might go to fucking prison.

With a felony you can't:
-Get most jobs.
-A convicted felon isn't eligible for any government aid they haven't paid into (Social Security and unemployment); grants, loans, Section 8, food stamps, etc.
-A convicted felon cannot be in "constructive possession" of a firearm. In other words, they can't be anywhere where they have access to one.
-In some jurisdictions, no one found guilty of a felony can expunge their criminal records.

Anyway, yeah, I want/need others' help to get this shit squashed like SOPA, but in order for this thread to be less petition and more discussion, I'd like to hear others' opinions as well.

What are your thoughts on the matter? Did you fight to stop SOPA before? If not, why? If so, then why did you (aside from the obvious)?
Do you care to get involved in these kinds of things?

This is less a discussion and more a petition. While I agree SOPA is stupid, you should probably rephrase your OP so that it's not so blatantly biased.

Alright, I'll rephrase the blatant petition form, but I can't see how there's any other bias on this other than being against it. Seriously, what good can come from something like this?

Biased? This is legislation that opposes all Human Beings. As an example, let's say that you held a book convention. In no way are you saying you're the author, or taking any credit.

SOPA calls that a felony, which is blatantly absurd. I'd like those fools to get a scientific correlation between a severe monetary gain and a third vendor of a company's products.

(Hint: I'm willing to bet there's no such correlation). Why not? The third vendor exposes you to many more products from the first party, and you'll in turn buy products from the first party.

This is a monopoly on the economy, and big corporatism is showing just how far it's willing to go to punish, subsidize and economically enslave Middle America.

If you saw OP's OP before it was edited, it was pretty much a post that said "SOPA IS EVIL SIGN THIS NOW SO WE CAN SHUT IT DOWN!!"

That's cool and all and would be fine for Random, but it doesn't make for much discussion, which is what this section is supposedly about. So yeah. The rest of your post I don't give a damn about because it's just nonsense being spewed like always. Besides I already said I don't like SOPA so it's not like I'm defending it.
