Look, I have nothing against paying to see good content, but why should I have to pay in order to see something I can otherwise view for free on other sites? What makes you, FAKKU, special? Comments? Community? Account-Services? I can get that anywhere—they all offer it.
You may host a variety of content, but what justifies your necessity to charge me to view content that you don't even hold the rights to?
The obvious thing (I'm assuming) at this point is you're trying to get some revenue to pay for this site to remain up in one piece (don't you dare link it to that idiotic anime).
The problem with that however, is that you're not giving me the choice anymore. You're practically forcing me. I just went and checked the New Mange page and saw that ALL of them, on that page alone, were either subscription based or required me to buy the book. I'm all for paying the due when it comes to anything I want, as there's nothing free in this life, but if you're only offering so little difference, then what gives you the right to?
I feel like I only come on here now to see good cover pages as an incentive to check out the actual thing on some other site. And, to my advantage, I can read/type in Japanese, so if I can't find it in English, I'll read it in Japanese.
That's an issue however, because then the question is, "if you don't like their service and don't agree with their content sharing schema, then why do you come back"?
The reason I come back is because I have the hope that eventually, you'll allow us to view things for FREE again. There are other things you can do to create revenue, and it's not the obvious way that you've come to make it, but it could be an alternative. If you continue to turn me away by only giving me the option to pay you something for something I shouldn't have to pay for, then I'll just stop coming altogether. You offer the latest content and sometimes even unique content that I won't find anywhere else. Do not make this harder than it has to be.
I'll give you one more chance.
If you do not comply and at least try to meet the needs of the majority in this community, then you've lost the reason to even continue your "service".
Most of us don't have the luxury to be spending our money on something like this. And, might I add, it's not like it's viewed as something "cool". Porn is linked to perversion and addiction. You're no Google Docs or Microsoft Office. You're not Amazon, you're not Barns and Noble, and you're definitely not E-Books.

I'm sorry, but you've been misinformed. We do hold the rights to the premium content. We're working with the content creators, and by supporting us you're also supporting them. The money you put into buying a book or a subscription goes back to the artists and everyone else involved in the process of creating this content.

They're trying to appeal to those who are willing to pay the authors the money they deserve by offering high quality content. I'm just going to add since the other two posts suffice on the whole misinformed thing, but you contradict yourself throughout this entire post.
You do care that the site is going to paid content even though you state you don't if your first opening sentence. Also if you can get any of this content elsewhere why not do it? Fakku does not argue against you or others pirating, they just as a whole wish to support legalizing and publishing content that could add to more diversity in a market that has potential as well as compensate artists that work hard to create this work. They wish for you and others to support them, but they won't beg and they understand that not everyone will see things the same way. I personally feel if everyone could see the content fakku has to offer then they could see how great this is and hopefully wish to help support; if not now then in the future. I've talked with people that have had a change of heart even after reading the fakku pirated works just because they saw how good the product was and realized it wasn't so bad lol.

Others have made this claim in their posts numerous times, but you along with others who say this are only selfishly thinking about wanting content for free because of the entitlement you feel to getting something for nothing. This isn't to say you can't get shit for free or to deter you, it's just that why people think they deserve free for nothing just seems self entitled and lazy (I dl stuff for free too, I'm not any better, but I do like to pay for things as well. Anyways in the last year there been over 100,000 new order numbers. Maybe 85% is related to books in physical form or digital. That a lot of content for a minority... right? I can't figure the subscription numbers. I would have to search every user name for a title or achievement. 3-5000 maybe. Lurkers seem to be the maddest. Forum users just do what they did before. Use the interwebs to find shit.
No one forces you to buy or read. It's not even that much money to buy something or subscribe. 50 cents a day saving is 2 cups of starbucks and a cookie away. Steam/fallout/apple store/paying for sex/dating/shopping a whole food/eating at chipotle every day... i doubt you're in a third world nation. If the Bangladesh users can afford the book or sub im sure you can also. You don't feel like you should pay=/=can't pay. I don't buy shit i won't want. I can, but i don't.
