To put it simply, one cannot have a civil discussion or debate about politics ANYWHERE. It will only lead to argument and flame.
The religions of the world are dying, and in their place is politics.
No longer is it about God vs the Devil, it is Republican vs Democrat, Communist vs Democracy, Iraq vs America.
That seperatist idea of "we are forever right and they are forever wrong" is what is tearing the world of politics apart, so that only the people that understand this and use this are being put into office.
And it is from separation that people loose interest. It becomes scary or boring to most people, so people don't notice the corporate influence in it, corrupting it.
Only when different ideas come together in harmony and intelligent debate can politics really serve the people.
The US that the founding fathers visioned died a hundred years ago.
