Please make sure you read the entire post before posting. I want some feedback after the reader sees my views on the issues. Do take note that I'm not trying to be biased, I'm only speaking of these people as a majority. I apologize if I tend to be biased at times. Thanks.
I was originally going to create a little rant on a little relationship issue, but I decided to move it to the Serious Discussion section because I got really off-topic as I was typing.
I've heard that girls' thought processes are messed up, and that guys are always trying to act superior. I want to spread that into more detail, in hopes that someone (hopefully more than just one) can clarify a few things for me. Here I go...
Guys tend to show off their "manliness" whenever they think. They end up doing silly things because of it. This results in the man treating the woman badly. On the other hand, girls tend to do things only by how they feel it should be dealt with. This leads them into doing silly things, too. A notable example would be when a girl just can't let go of a guy that is clearly not treating her right.
Now the thing I want to know is... why are people not aware of this? If they are aware, why don't they take it into consideration? Are they too scared to admit that the other person is, in reality, in the same shoes as themselves? I've had a countless amount of people coming up to me for help on their relationships, and most of the time it's always the same old drama. The couple falls in love, the guy tries too hard to please her, the girl is too nervous to do anything, and nobody gets anywhere, if anything, it only gets worse, and nobody is in any position to change their thoughts.
This isn't just a love issue, though, because I see it happening in a lot of other cases, too. Someone doesn't see life going the way they want it to, and eventually they commit suicide, because "nobody understands how their life is like". Sure, they didn't go though the same kinds of things as the person, but that doesn't mean that they don't experience that kind of stuff in another area in life. (Popularity in friends, school, family, etc.)
There's also the issue on gay/lesbian people. They're looked down upon just because they're "different from the norm". Why can't people understand that that's the way that they feel, and they can't suddenly "start writing with their right hand because they grew up using their left hand"? What is so important about this that someone has to make laws restricting this kind of love? This goes for incest and under-aged love, too. Sure, the concept of having children is a big deal, but why does someone else have to tell you that you can't do it? If both of the lovers agree to the situation, shouldn't that be good enough? "Going all the way" has responsibilities, and of course they would already think it through before doing anything. The parents have a right in the say, because they're liable to take care of the lover, and the lover can continue asking for support. However, I fail to see why it should be a law to ban homosexual relationships, incestuous relationships, and relationships with people under the age of 18, because the people signing the law have nothing to do with the relationship, anyways.
Religion is another one of these issues. Everyone either wants to keep trying to convert people until they see eye-to-eye, or don't want to open their thoughts on the matter because they think that it will cause fighting. People don't share their thoughts because they don't want to cause any kind of commotion on anyone, and have them think differently based on their beliefs. The people that try to convert people are led on by the way they were born teaching, and that their god (or God) believes that they should do so. (Which, by the way, I would love to hear some feedback on this specifically.)
I want someone to tell me what they think on anything I just talked about, because either nobody's aware of this stuff, or I'm missing something important in this thought process. I wanted to bring light onto these things, and hopefully something can be clarified for me. Anyways, thanks in advance for the feedback.
