Logic: Questioning things ( Improved version )

Hello fellow Fakku-ers ( once again ), today I wanna discuss with you about one of the most basic and logical ability/tool that everyone ( optional ) uses in their daily lives or using it when they are in a pinch ( difficulties ), It is questioning things.

First let me ask you this, isn't it Logical to question things you don't understand? For me it would be yes, because then I could overcome any issues I have, and obtain knowledge at that too, just by questioning things.

Does the thought of questioning your current situation or anything else ever occur, like everyday/someday/rarely?
Not everyday, meaning the most important questions don't come to me that often in my mind, but when it does I quickly find the answer.

Based on how you are living your life, is it even necessary to question anything else in your current living status?
Based on how I live, I have MANY questions to ask.

Do you just question things and find things out just to expand your knowledge, even if they are not needed, but just interesting to you?
Regardless of which subject the questioning is about, for me, obtaining knowledge is very interesting, and it also enlightens me.

I love to question things, do you? ( simple and clean question )


Great now we have a different topic about questioning things, and that is, the people that barely question things at all.

Have you ever met /or/ know someone that is facing difficulties in their lives, but the thing is, that they don't question themselves / their current situation at all?
For me it would be yes, actually many, whom I wish to help, however get denied.
Do you feel like ( personally ) that people need to pay more attention to questioning things? ( Such as fellow peers/relatives/friends )
MY fellow peers and such? I would definitely say yes, because everyone I know is living a somewhat complicated life, an also a difficult one, however that is up to them.

Does it somewhat bother you that troubled people you know of are not questioning things at all, to find out how to solute their current issues?
It bothers me on a somewhat emotional level, probably because I like humans, and wish for everyone to lead a happy life.


Questioning things CAN be optional when reached by the age of decision, however there are many who doesn't notice that, and stay in the phase of their issues, such as relationships/financial/other reasons. Questions leads to answers which then solves the issue, however given the circumstance of some specific cases, some answers have to be simply explained. ( In a rational/simple manner )

I feel like we MUST question things, in order for us to advance as a species. There are no other intelligent life forms out there ( we know of ) that can think like we do, so isn't it logical to use that to our advantage to advance, maybe lead a peaceful and simple life? I don't believe that we as humans, are dumb enough to lead a difficult life if we have the ability to question things, and then find the answer out, whether it'd be explained in a simple/complicated manner.

One more question for everyone, do you feel like it is a blessing that we can think to such extent just by questioning everything that comes across us?
Personally it is much more than a blessing, because it solves many troubles we face in our lives, without the ability to question, there wouldn't be any answers/explanations and reason at all.

To answer your questions, I'd say well:
Yes, I do question my style of life on a regular basis, thinking of how I could or should improve or change certain things. But most of the time I don't get to it, because I'm a lazybum.


Yes, I love questionning things. I am a modern Sphinx of Thebes.


Yes, I often search for answers about things that I do not understand, such as why the clouds are puffy, or how does one build a custom crossbow, or the ancient art of basket weaving. For fun. Because I have time to spare, sometimes.

And yes, I have a few people around me that complain about their way of life but don't change it. Now they have an excuse, because they are quite old, so changing their way of life is quite hard for them, but still, it would be benificial if they did, much like it would be benificial for me if I changed a few things.

There you go. Thats my reply.

I wanted to ask you a question, between what age can people still change their lifestyle/way of thinking be?

I just wanna know that answer from you if that is ok, and if possible, can you please explain your answer as well?

I'm not a mind reader. Maybe their choices aren't what I would have done, but one must acknowledge that they have a very limited window into another person's problem. Almost everything is situational.



I don't really know to what degree people(around me) question their surroundings, life, problems. I can however look to the after affects of their actions.



Again...I don't really know if they are. I can only measure someone by their actions...and even that has conditions and what-ifs.

Well, I'd say that people can change their lifestyle at any age, between 7 and 77 years old. The only thing that is needed is motivation to enact the change.
People have always and probably will always be opposed or undisposed towards change. I'd say the only thing that makes them so opposed to it is their inner worries that they might make mistakes or that it will be worse than before.

As for my asnwer, which part of it? I'm kind of confused about that.

That wasn't a question for you to answer, rather that is my view on things. With the power to question things, we may find the solution and change our way of thinking and possibly lead a better life. ( That is of course optional )

It's wrong because we can lead difficult(subjective) lives even with our ability to question things. In the end, it's the results that matter. Just like the power of questioning things lead you to some answers it can also lead to more questions, sometimes it might lead to completely missing the point. *ahem*

Then here is something I have to write to that, by questioning anything regarding to the current situation, you might get answers, however it depends solely on the person whether they understand that answer, and use it to change their lives a little bit. Besides the results doesn't matter at all, what matters is what you have done that made you get that result, and since people care so much about results, they gotta question themselves, "Jeez, what can I do to get to that result?

It's a step by step thing, one asks questions to know which way to go.

Logical, yes, but not reasonable. You're thinking too much like a robot and what logical solutions, but not give into account of the emotions and feelings people get during situations. One should remember that during a breakup, one is pretty emotional and more distant than other times and they can't seem to "think" of that "logical" process you are talking about. You are taking out one of the most important aspects of what it means to be a human, it is more logical to leave it alone.

You are also eliminating many other factors and variables, some don't have the time, others don't care, others don't know, etc. and it is a bit unfair. You're making this sound far too easy as opposed to how difficult it is.

On one side you are correct, however I didn't mean to ignore the fact that there might be emotional distress before one comes into thinking about whatever that is bothering them.

Oh no I didn't mean that it would sound easy, of course there are many things other than logic involved in our lives, and yes I agree even I have emotional distresses for a long time before I can calm down and later question myself how I can get out of it, I know it is not easy for many, but I am just discussing about the logic of questioning, I can't discuss about the emotions and feelings because it would take up quite a space here.
