[Locked] What is money and why is it important?

Please forgive me for posting a video, I simply hate leaving a brick of text, simply put nobody reads it; This is me explaining what gold is, and I am hoping for controversy on the subject, thank you.

End message, paper money is an iou for your commodities held safely in the bank,
it has no actual value; When you mass print money lacking the commodities to make it worth anything, set dollar becomes "inflated" and with enough mass printing becomes "worthless". The american currency is the trade currency of the world, when it inevitably collapses so too will every other currency within 24 hours.

The 08 recession was not pulled out of, the federal reserve just printed more money,
and bailed out the corporations again, adding to the ever worsening debt.
The 08 recession was a corporate problem, the depression is yet to come; globally
It will be the biggest event in human history, and it bothers me that nobody cares.


To end this, the value of gold isn't going up, the value of the dollar is going down;

Understanding just what money is, is crucial for out species to not suffer mass famine.

MONEY:
The one thing that keeps consumption under control.

But the main purpose of this thread is education, I like to inform people about crucial issues that effect us all.

Naw. I disagree. It causes consumption to spiral out of control. Imagine a world with no money and every transaction is barter trade. You can't consume much in such an inconvenient setting.

Now, if you have lots and lots of money, you will consume or chase goods, and if too much money chase goods, you have inflation.

I see it differently.

I have been living with this term:
"Whoever got the money, got what he needs, and who doesn't, gets nothing."

It is a complicated system and I can only show it through a documentary about the money system and the scam behind it.

I'm...confused. You can't discus the definition of something factual. A discussion would have to focus on something more ambiguous, like how much value people should place on money. But like lordisgaea3 said, you aren't being clear on what you want people to talk about here
