What to do in the case of an unsuccessfull delivery attempt?

Soo I was suppose to receive a delivery today, but i was absent at the time it was delivered, what do I do now?

Did they leave a pick up slip? Here in the states if it not sign or delivery confirmation they just leave it in my mailbox or leave it on the pouch. Call the postal service and/or check the tracking. Im assumping it a fakku book.
