[Locked] Whats your opinion on conspiracy about pollution?

Ah Squid girl, I watched the Japanese version of that before it got dubbed as Shinryaku! Ika Musume.

People talk about it, it's always easy to talk about it. The difficult part about it is getting people to actually do it. Remember the way things work is that the majority counts, and a majority still don't see it as a problem.

I'm one of them, but I still do admire the lengths people go to "cut down" on pollution. Most of the "solutions" I've seen so far just seem to be marketing gimmicks.

Humans are like a virus, however one day that virus (humans) will die once the host (earth) is dead. Our efforts to save the earth is futile because there are too many people who don't really give a fuck (Especially if its a inconvenience to their lifestyle).

Laziness and not being environmentally conscious is a conspiracy? What.

I blame MTV. It's giving us subliminal messages to be lazy.

The reason I wrote conspiracy is because I seen conspiracy videos relating to air and sea pollution and how conspiracy and media are literally fighting against each other.

Media is saying cars and gas and oil is polluting the planet and how we should be more aware of it...

while on the other hand conspiracy theorist are saying the same people who are in the media are the same who are giving off that bullshit (sorry) and how its been all planned to pollute the planet to decrease the resources humans have and decrease the chances of humans living....

its a complicated topic but my main question is.... Do you believe there is something fishy about this whole pollution situation?

Also I don't think there's much to misunderstand - you think that pollution is a conspiracy. Aside from how stupid that is, there's not much else.

Conspiracy theorist tend to be crazy people or people who want to believe there is a bigger plan in something rather simple and obvious ie. Pollution.
You're not going to say that the hole in the ozone layer at the south pole or the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and oil tankers sinking are all just some sort of conspiracy enacted by the Illuminati are you?
Just look at mining if you think that doesn't harm the environment around you you're in lala land.

I'm rather indifferent to the idea. I think there is an extreme level of manipulation from both parties. I don't believe the Earth is on the cusp of some kind of environmental breakdown like the tree-hugging environmentalists want me to believe, but by the same token I do believe that measures could certainly be placed to help us not expedite the potential "point of no return" whenever or wherever that might be.

That said, I'm not environmentally consious. I don't recycle, I don't make an active contribution to lessen my carbon footprint. Hell, I'll admit, I'm one of those "guys"; I won't change my day-to-day habits just to arbitrarily save the environment here-and-there.

I don't think there is a conspiracy but, there are elements within the movement who don't really give a damn about the environment and are just using it to gain money and influence in the political sphere.

GE and many other corporations along with certain politically active organizations had heavy investments in the potential carbon offset market that Cap & Trade would have created. Those investments would have made tens of millions if not more for those groups.

The green movement isn't a conspiracy but, there is a conspiracy hiding within the movement.

As long as there are fucktards greedy people willing to rape the planet of its natural resources to get a hold of respect and wealth, humanity (and life on Earth in general) will always be swirling around in the toilet bowl of corruption, getting ever closer to that hole at the bottom that we refer to as "extinction."

...and the sad thing is that the ones responsible were, at one time, sitting up in school generations ago, saying to themselves, "I'm going to make the world a better place", only to let the power and money that they were getting go to their heads when they finally did.

Well, for one thing... the water companies have actually been taking huge advantage of this over time. They know our sources are polluted, and for years have been buying up "good" water so they can charge everyone tons more.
