This is a revamped iteration of an inquiry which was given little earnest thought before its dislocation and repositioning in an unsuitable environment.
The topic is: "Why So Serious?"
The concise nature--and the overpopularity of asinine usage of said concision--of the original topic was more than likely the leading contributor in the resulting repositioning rendered by a site moderator. I apologize for the malformed conveyance, and will explain the question in greater depth so as to evade an emulation of the erstwhile inquiry. In doing so, it is my hope that the earnestness of the question--and, ergo, the validity of its placement--will be revealed as well.
Let us begin.
Though irresistibly arguable, I would state that the general conception of conscious existence from the human perspective is divided between consequential and inconsequential thoughts, or rather, to ascend to a higher tier of specificity for reasons of brevity and pertinence, "serious" and "frivolous" thoughts. In the bounds of this question, life--being a collective of thoughts--therefore falls into one of two classifications: serious, or frivolous. Each class or category has its respective multi-faceted repercussion of socio-political analysis (which will be employed in a basic form so as not to create a philosophical labyrinth), which I will use to further elaborate my curiosity. Each analysis is followed by a conclusive measure of worth*. Each final measurement of a thought (or reaction) within its respective class will be measured alongside the opposing class in the hope of concluding which "class" of thought is more worthy of endeavor.
worth* - in this situation, worth is used to describe various aspects of both human emotion and its contributing factors: Gratification, Satisfaction (on a consistent scale), Confidence (on a consistent scale)
The "thoughts" discussed will be presented as a set of potential reactions to a series of actions and events (within contained circumstances) contained below.
