i just rented this game from gamefly and so far it is awesome!!
good battle system, good characters, great art style, i also like the way you can switch stuff like atk+2 def+2 or any other good skill from one weapon to another i forgot what it was called but its insane.
the voice acting is abit bad though i got confused thinking huh so what does he / she mean ? im confused ?.
but so far its good, that purple haired guy is so hard im stuck on this part where im in dragons prison defeating him the 2nd time and he is hard, hard, hard, but i have ways to try and beat him.
I was going to make this thread after completing the game, but oh well. The game is damn fun. The normal battles are easy, but the boss battles are tough. I lost once against almost every boss-level enemy. Strategy is more important than your level. Magic is very powerful but is limited by your MP and AP. The story has some plot holes but is still rather entertaining. This is like the Wii's equivalent of Skies of Arcadia or Tales of Symphonia. This is also Ignition's best localization job by far. Also, hooray for undubbing!
The only thing I don't like about the game is how experience scales down with your level, yet enemy experience and experience required to level up gradually rise.
That's the point. It's supposed to make it harder to grind.
The thing is, it makes no sense to do both. More Exp is required to level, yet experience scales and enemies grow in Exp. Why not just increase Exp to level up like in most RPGs? Why not do a 1000 points to level up system and just scale strictly according to level like in .hack//GU and Luminous Arc?
