Chrono Cross Tiers

Hey guys. In Chrono Cross, what is your tier list of characters? At least, who are the best in your opinion?
I'm starting a new playthrough, and not sure who to use.
Characters I have in mind:
Serge + Glenn + Harle:
No explanation needed. They break the game!
Van:
His techs provide lots of utility, especially as an aid to summoning with his tech which paints the field a single element. Furthermore, his boomerang strikes multiple enemies at once. Being a physical fighter, this makes him AMAZING at nuking multiple foes!
Pierre:
Never used him before. Appearance-wise, he looks cool, and I really want to mess with his hero set. Is it better to use his hero-set sword, or the Prism Sword, is the question?
Kid:
I didn't use her much in the past, and I always use to think she sucked. But now I realize I didn't raise her properly with the stat boost-things. Her agility looks VERY good!! I guess it's worth using?
Pip (Holy Angel, Green element?):
To be honest, I'm not sure what to use for Pip's element. But since I will be unlocking Glenn, Razzly will be unavailable in my first playthrough. Might as well pass the job of a Green Spellcaster to Pip. What element should I make pip? Going White would be pointless because Riddel and Serge also have the white element, while you have Marcy and Leena with Blue.
Leena:
I always hear split opinions about her. Personally, I'm disappointed she played second-fiddle to Kid, but don't see what can be done about that. Stat-wise, she's "just" a powerful Blue element user until she gets her final tech... Then she becomes an utter powerhouse, and super healer!
Viper:
His tech increases your team's strength. On top of that, the tech can be duplicated... On top of that, he's actually important to the story, and his stats kick ass! What's not to like? He's a support character who isn't as good as others in damage alone, but that's not the point - He increases your ENTIRE team's damage!
Sprigg:
I don't know which of her transforms are worth using before Ozzie/Flea/Slash. Is she worth using at all besides for being a completionist in a playthrough? Either way, I have to automatically put her on the list because of that.
Riddel:
Strongest white magic user. Period.
Fargo:
Must-use for stealing during the Lynx segment of the game. Thankfully, he's a great physical fighter! He's not as powerful physically as Orlha, but he has more overall usefulness than her, with very close stats. And better techs!
Radius:
Baddass old man? Check. Awesome stats? Check. Developed character? Check. Are there any flaws? Glenn. However, he's a great replacement-Glenn until then, and good if you want a second Green Melee user once you get Glenn back.
I gotta decide a party for my playthrough since I don't want to miss out on the very precious stat gains from boss fights (Apparently obtaining a star and minor stat boosts aren't enough to boost their stats to the same levels???)
For the Serge segments of the game, my idea party would be Serge, Glenn, Leena. For the Lynx segment after, I'm not sure... Any suggestions? Fargo is definitely necessary since he's mandatory against bosses if they have an important item to steal (Like all the dragons and their Plates.) For the Lynx segment, I'm considering Serge, Viper, and Fargo.
Those are my top and strategies. What're yours?

lol damn i cant even remember, but i do Know Glen was at the forfront of 90% of my battles after i got him. and that Curse doll i fogot his name saw alot of action too.
