Only playing English games severely limits the number of games you can play. So many great games never get translated, and those that do usually come onto the scene after years of development. For example, DC II English came out well after DC II PC, which added so many more storylines and characters. Reading it in your native language definitely has its perks, but those who only play English games will probably never get to play through Akane's route, or any of the other 4 or so scenarios they added.
My suggestion would be to use
ATLAS. It takes a little effort to set up, but will open your world tremendously. You'll also pick up a fair amount of Japanese, so it's like two birds with one stone. It's your choice in the end though, so choose to apply or ignore as you see fit.
