so, rather than talking about the game, we talk about the "engine" instead. :D
Honestly, all engines are great, it all depends on how the makers utilize them. the Con's for each engine is also too small to see.
BTW, all of these are based on my own limited Observation.
KiriKiri- is one of the most used engine in the VN industry (According to my observation IMO) it's probably one of the simplest pro-engine out there, since Doujin games also use this. don't see much of a downside using it though.
Ncreator- never used one
Ren'py - I don't know if this engine is even used in Japan, since I only see it being used by Western people for making original Indie VNs. Easy customization, but limited to what you can with it.
adding some
REALLIVE - Mainly used by KEY and some other companies for their engine, it's a complicated engine, and have issues with translators.
System4.0 - An engine developed by Alicesoft, and Mainly used by them. Also has troubles with Transaltor and it's exclusive.
rUGP Engine don't have info about this, but it's used by companies like Age (Muv-Luv), Overflow (School Days) and some others
Other than that usually companies don't show what engine that they used, and not visible to the naked eye.
I don't have any favorites, but there's only one thing that I expect from all of these engines, Make the game Work!
Out of all 3 I used so far, I like KiriKiri better, I guess. It's less confusing for me as long as I get it to work like I want it to. But Ren'py is also good for certain VN's that don't conform to the Japanese style. Overall, I like KiriKiri better. And the middle one is something that I never heard of.
