Depends on what you mean by "good", there are some decent ones but they dont compare to the console games.

Battlefield Play4Free is decent... kind of a cheaper version of Battlefield 2 with micro-transactions, Tremulous is also a good aliens vs. humans sort of game but is dying in popularity due to a lack of updates. Team Fortress 2 is a good also very nice if you like it.
If you're into older games like Doom and such, I also suggest getting the Marathon Trilogy, very classic deathmatch style multiplayer from when multiplayer over the internet was still a relatively new concept to shooters, and pc gaming in general.

S4 League is a very good shooter game, though recently its declined a whole lot. Still better than most.

Though if you want a Tactical Shooter I think the best one out right now is AVA.
Team Fortress 2 is slightly for more, eh kinda hard to describe. Its not a casual game because its all based on teamwork. Even more so than S4 League which is already very teamwork oriented. All classes have blinding weakness because of over specialization so its very hard to pull off the run and gun type of playstyle you find in other games. Like for instance, there are only 2 characters with automatic weapons in the game. The Heavy and Sniper, but the Sniper's SMG is so weak, it can't kill anyone who's not a complete newbie that has brain damage. On the other hand, the Heavy has a Minigun, but is so slow anyone with range weapon capabilities (basically everyone) can take him out. The engineer doesn't have a primary weapon except for Sentry Guns which are very powerful but immobile.

It's not nearly as bad. You start with Soldier, which is very good all around-er. Within 1-2 games you unlock Ranged, which is also great.
WIth ~900 points (a day or 2) you unlock Juggernaut, which is imo the best Heavy class (also my fav).
And then you get Pathfinder also for cheap. I unlocked these 2 after a week of playing. The other classes are waaay more specialized, some useless (doombringer, technician, imo infiltrator). You don't need the 9k classes to win at all.

I recommend Team Fortress 2 if you intend to get games on steam, else any of the others will be just fine.

Well, I was playing Alpha, and then part of the early Beta.
They must have considered what we kept saying.

Perhaps. When I just got into beta, ALL other classes cost 15k tokens. Now 9k is max. And not all that many cost that.
