Yeah, I'm not even gonna comment that grammar.
Personally I usually go for the story, and level/getting EQ isn't that big a deal for me, neither is having the perfect party. If I find companions I like, I'll let them hang around for a while, if they have some nice side-story it's even better. Like in Mass Effect.
I'd keep Kailan and Ashley around from the beginning, and then you have to choose between them. No game has left me so frustrated and satisfied at the same time. Not really side-quest but w/e.
For my own character development I usually go with a more agile warrior. But that depends, playing NwN for example I used to play as a Heavy Flail or Scythe-wielding Weapon Master. ^^ It was awesome, and not to mention that I loved Valen. (Ever played Hordes of the Underdark and you know who I mean.) But no matter what I prefer a close-combat character no matter what.
