As a late Christmas gift, I got a used 360 and one game - 'Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts'. Now as much as I love the Banjo series, I hate this game with a BURNING passion and I'm thinking about taking it back to get something else (around $20.) GameStop has one of the 'Blazblue' games for cheap enough (Calamity or something, I forget,) but I was told it has a LOT of flashing bits, and although flashing lights don't bother me much, being an epileptic still makes me shy away from that.
Maybe.
So, with Blazblue still in mind, any suggestions? I thought about getting 'Deathsmiles' ... Even though the videos I've seen make me sick (literally,) and I'd just want it for the loli faceplate.
Don't bother suggesting 'Halo' or 'Call of Duty' or other mainstream shit that America's 13 year-olds are currently playing. At the moment I don't have a way to get the console online and won't for a while, so any games that are good WITHOUT Live is also appreciated.
Any good anime-style games out there? I keep reading about the same group of JRPGs every time, so I thought I'd ask.
I believe your best bets are star ocean: The last hope, Infinite undiscovery and if you also dont mind regular rpgs the elder scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Seriously, Infinite undiscovery and star ocean were sooooo gooooddddd Screw final fantasy 13 its expensive and it sucks in comparisson. I always liked the dynasty warriors series but its probably a bit different to what you are used to. Maybe check out some gameplay vids and see what you think of it. Its good because it teaches you history in way you actually want to learn it. Lol If you do like dynasty warriors I highly suggest samurai warriors and warriors orochi 2. Perhaps you might also enjoy games like dead or alive 4. (Kinda like tekken but 900 times more awesome with more diversity in moves) All the suggested games are reasonably cheap the jrpgs and oblivion and dead or alive all being available for $29.99 or less.
Oblivion came out in 2006 and got game of the year. The diversity and huge numbers of quests make it just plain and simply amazing. Also, Elder scrolls 5, the sequel to oblivion called Skyrim is coming out on the 11 of november this year. It should be amazing. There are various problems here and there with oblivion but It is still worth getting and finding out how to work your way around these glitches and problems. (there is also a patched version you can buy anyway)
