In case your memory is a bit fuzzy, it's the game that has been in development for five years (most likely since 2006 considering, as NeoGAF said, Team Ico had no other projects to work on).
The link above is the latest on what is happening with The Last Guardian.
Honestly, I just don't know if I can wait it out any longer. Fumito Ueda is ready to leave Team Ico the minute this game is finished so I don't even think he is motivated much anymore. The game is also in development hell, and seems to have been for years now, by god, they might as well just re-engineer it for the PS4 considering it will be out before the game even finishes. Also, pressure on Team Ico and Ueda is beyond any game director, designer has ever faced. Reason being that Team Ico has yet to have a blotch of tarnished reputation ink on themselves, this game is being herald as THE PS3 game that will define what the PS3 was capable of doing, so Ueda and his team cannot fuck up, not once.
I'm getting pretty impatient myself.
Though I do not have a ps3 myself, I know that I would get it for my uncle if he didn't plan on getting it.
either way, we loved Ico and SotC, so eveb if this turned out to be rubbish by those standards, we'd still get it.
The wait however is getting rediculous. I'm sure it'll be a beautiful game like the others, but I'm almost worried that they're focused on aesthetics only and not really giving gameplay much thought.
I'm wishing that I'm wrong though.
Will say I've lost a lot of interest with how long its been in development. I mean not that I won't get it whenever that day comes, but I just tend to forget it even exists.
