I play:
Tap Studio (same as ttr, but no 16x, I use MY music library, and I make and share beatmaps/taps. So I can play as many songs as I want, and make them as hard as I want, which is freaking difficult or nearly impossible...for other people. )
Beat Gather
Project Diva Extend
Project Diva 2nd
Beat Hazard
Audiosurf
Osu! (Android)
Beats (Android)
I have a guitar hero game, but I don't like it that much. I play mainly both PD, PD2, Beat Gather and Tap Studio.
I want to buy a DDR cabinet like they have at arcades. But a japanese one. I can't stand the selection on the american ones. Why would I play to "We are the champions"?
Go for the DDR Extreme cabinet. Yes, it has certain American songs, but it's mostly dominated by what's considered DDR's best up to that point, and even has some tracks from Beatmania, Guitar Freaks, and Pop n Music.
If you're going to get a cabinet in the first place, you might as well look into OpenITG. There's no point in gimping your song list to an official release.
Especially now. X3 is a huge anomaly with getting licences from 2nd mix, but I'm pretty sure Dancemania is no longer supporting/using DDR as a billboard to sell their discography. That being said, DDR X2 is probably the best Konami-only release ever made. It has tons of energy tracks and relatively gimmick-light (for Konami) boss songs.
Too bad the new X hardware is garbage, ugh. Software-side, X2 is amazing, but as far as availability in the US, a working X machine is an extreme rarity.
