@echoeagle3: Yeah, trying to ADAPT MLA into a FPS mech simulator wouldn't be the easiest thing to do, and any attempt to do so would likely bastardise the original story.
What I'm trying to advocate is using the MLA IP and turn it into a FPS mech simulator. Whilst an existing project exists, it feels more like Unreal Tournament with the MLA assets.
@ Rovencrone: Yeah, I had my eye on that for a while. However, after playing Hawken, I think a true FPS mech simulator would do the MLA universe more justice. The project by 'Little Meteor' feels like a FPS based off the Unreal Tournament engine. In essence, its not a mech simulator. Also, everything about the game is too 'flighty' (incorrect usage of the word, but I hope you get the meaning); there's no weight to the combat, and tactics just don't seem to play a role. This is why , after playing Hawken, I'd say that Hawken would be a better base upon which to build a MLA themed mech simulator. The combat in Hawken is much more intense and visceral than what can be seen from the trailers of this project.
