I like the balance of presentation that these two games have.
I am looking forward to another game [I think it's downloadable now] but I can't think of the name. Its made by the same people that made okami and it was about how the gods' plan on destroying the world due to the people of the world worshipping the angels that fell to earth. The art style of the game changes dramatically. It was pretty intense.
Deus Ex and Elder scrolls are not new IPs and not exactly built from the ground up too much, Duke would barely count as a new one since it's just been so long since the last true one came out and gameplay is a bit different. You also should add RAGE to that list. Anyway, I just hope that the new Deux Ex is as good as the first, the second was a disappointing, but so far it looks like the graphics on the PC version uses DirectX 11 since some of the screenshots for PC look like the piss excellence in the graphics department.
RAGE is a mandatory purchase for me as I'm a fucking diehard fan of id. I own all of the Wolfenstein and DOOM games along with Commander Keen and a couple of Quake titles.
RAGE aside, I'm really looking forward to Dead Island. I love me a good zombie romp, and if Dead Island can nail the gameplay I may just be sold on buying it.
