The problem is, to get a decent computer, one must spend AT LEAST $1,000. $1k minimum will get you a computer that'll play any current games no problem, and will be able to play some new games fairly easily. whereas if you get a console (for $300~) you're getting something that doesn't need to be upgraded for newer games.. the game prices are virtually the same ($10 different) so, you'd be saving money in the long run by getting a console... don't need to upgrade, and it isn't as tempremental as a pc (ie, a console can't get a virus afaik)
I will always have a console as well as a pc, cause I enjoy playing console more with racing games and such, and it's a lot better for company. The pc is just you and your wang
You happen to be talking about the top-of-the-line systems, but a good mid-spec or middle of mid and high-spec would probably cost you $600 below.
Hell nah.
I'm talking entry level shit.
Basic quad core, 4gb ddr3 ram, 1gb ddr5 graphics, y'know... well.. probably mid range.
It's entry level to me. as much as I'm using a dual core atm, If i bought and built a computer, the minimum would be what i put above for components..
Seriously, the above would be able to run nowadays games fine, but will slowly get outdated. Computer games constantly evolve, console games stick the component limitations.
