Onimusha 3 for steam

Well, I just got this yesterday, have tried to play it, and it has frozen up every time I try during the opening CG cinema. New PC so i'm guessing its a windows compatibility issue or video card since I exceed all the reqs for running. Which it starts up and runs fine until that point. Any helpful hints on getting running would be welcome. If I just wasted $20 I wonder if they'll let me swap the game or refund it.
