Path of Exile

The game is currently in closed beta. Seems like a good alternative to D3, has anyone tried this game out yet?

Yes, it's amazing. You can start as a Templar and you can build a Death Knight, an Auradin, or the AVATAR, MASTER OF ALL FOUR ELEMENTS (if you count chaos. Which you should).

Hmm, is buying in/random giveaway on the website the only ways to get in to the beta?

A friend of mine bought it for me, but that was during closed beta. Since it's going into open beta soon, it'll probably be free or something.

Fucking so much customization it brings a tear to my eye.

Yeah, the open beta will start in January 2013. But unfortunately I won't have a whole lot of time by then :S
