Basically, if you liked Atelier Annie, you will like this. I hear that you might also like it if you've played Harvest Moon or Rune Factory though I haven't played those games myself to compare.

To add on,this game is half shopkeeper game and half a dungeon crawling game.You can not go to the dungeon at all if you want,but you be missing out items you can get only in the dungeon.The gameplay of the dungeon is reminisce of Y's Ark of nephitism style of gameplay.

This game is hard,but enjoyable.The hard aspect is meeting the deadline.

Its not exactly like harvest moon since you cant adjust the price of the items and everything is do it yourself.I would say its like a mini lemonade tycoon kinda thing mixed in with VN elements and a dungeon crawling game lol

ummm... gameplay really didnt feel like Ys. The dungeon crawling is action RPG like, but it mostly like a top down Dark Cloud or a Zelda game.

Also, if you miss a deadline, its auto gameover, the end. BUT! The game has a loop system, which is like a new game +. you keep your equipment for the heroes, the items you had, your merchant level and heroes level and your customized shop. you get all that but you restart at day one.

Very fun, very addictive. Comparing it to atelier Annie is very fitting. I myself was comparing it to Atelier games and mana khemia while playing. Brilliant gem :)

I just bought and installed Reccetear, and for the little time ive played, i love the soundtrack and the voices in that game~

I have no idea, I just saw a link to it on imageshack. I was also surprised that Jacob made a news post with "Capitalism, ho!" as the title but didn't even mention the game.

Okay, for now I bo... Torrented the game and I will be playing this on a long term. I might consider buying it (I mean 14 euros is nothing really) if I really get into it.

So, after 6 hours of playing, I reached day 30, right after paying a 200.000pix debt. My shop is bigger, more good looking and has some high quality stuff for sale.
I'm not really going into dungeons that much because it's so fucking hard and dying costs you SO FUCKING MUCH so I just keep mah business running by doing the regular buy/sell stuff. Now I got 7 days to pay 500.000pix and I don't wanna newgame+++ this, especially since I arrived that far.

@Hentanize: I hope you're at least playing with the latest patch. I heard it balances it out dungeon difficulty.

i didnt even enter the dungeon until the debt was paid off and started "endless mode". since by then you got so much money to buy the best available gear

Just use the sword guy.It isnt that hard.At most just play up to 5 levels of the dungeon at a time then go back to town.

This game is addicting...

Nothing is worse than opening up shop and seeing a bunch of little girls walk in. "Fuck, not making money today."
The guild master is a funny customer, too, when he wants to buy something that the guild sells. "But, I literally just bought that from you... for half the price I'm going to charge you."

But seriously, love this game. Good humor, too.

Recettear is brilliant, on of my best moments is when Louie walks in to the store and tries to sell me his family treasure witch turns out to be a ham sandwich XD.
A small personal down was when on my best try only managed to raise 360 000 pix in the last week of the game -.-, then I just accepted my defeat and went for loop 2 where I had 1 million pix on the last day ^^.

I finished the game recently, the ending made me laugh, i didnt think Recette is that clumsy xD i failed on the first loop, but easy on second loop ^_^

[We need doujinis for that game, like seriously. I wanna see some Charme X Tear^^)
