So I bought and sold a PS2 a while back, but that's another story which Waar deleted...
I've never wanted to buy a PS3, but if a PS3 can run PS2 games then I see a good reason to buy one. I can play all the games I'm dying to play again such as Wild Arms 3 while being able to play games I found interesting like Killzone.
I asked around and apparently the PS3 can't run PS2 games unless it's x or if you're x'ing while the disc is in the PS3. If you keep x up x won't work and you can't play PS2 games. Ect. Ect. Ect.
What ways can I get a PS3 to play PS2 games?
Do I have to buy a certain model or what?
Dont you have to get the older model PS3 with the chip to play PS2 games?I think the newer ones are not able to play PS2 games.
This on top of the PS2 games being region locked. If your PS3 is NTSC-J,that sucks as you are limited to play Jap games and most good PS2 games arent NTSC-J.Best to find NTSC-U.
I dont know about this x-ing thing, but I assume the PS2 game is on a thumb drive or something or like you bought the game from the PSN store?,not entirely sure of that.
