Save File Transfer for Mass Effect.

First I want to say that I know there's a Mass Effect 3 topic already but since my topic isn't about Mass Effect 3 but the save file transfer I decided to make a new topic for this. If the mods think this is still wrong then Im sorry and you can transfer this topic to the appropriate place. Thanks.

Now on to my question.
I would like to know if it's possible to import your mass effect character into mass effect 2 but with different outcomes (The point of this is to save me time and prevent me from replaying the game 4 times). To make it easier to understand,I'll try putting it this way;

Save 1: John Shepard - Liara
Save 2: John Shepard - Ashley
Save 3: John Shepard - Empty
Save 4: John Shepard - Empty

All of this John Shepard isn't a "New Game" but rather different saves of the same character and since the game saves and import during the last battle then if I have 4 different saves with all different choices do the final battle

Will they overwrite or will they create a separate import data?
