Traditional Eroge

First of all, just wanted to say hi. I am new to the community but have been interested in anime, manga, and hentai for quite some time.
So, I have already purchased and played through several of the storylines of School Days HQ, possibly one of the best eroge/ visual novels out there. I am a huge fan and think that Kotonoha-chan is the cutest :) However, many of School Days' endings are rather intense, with some of the girls being impregnated and murdering/ getting murdered. Now please, please, please do not get me wrong here. I think that these plot developments really add to the drama and overall awesomeness of the story. Still though, I would kind of like to play a visual novel that is a little bit more "traditional" (i.e. cute school girls, sex without consequence, happy endings) just for the experience of it. I have seen that Fakku has an excellent selection of eroge but I would like to know which ones you guys think are best and why. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately Fakku's eroge scene has been pretty dead for quite some time now so you won't find too many people replying to topics. As for your request there are plenty "vanilla" VNs. I'd start with If My Heart Had Wings to Fly, Kira Kira, and Deardrops.

Thanks for the suggestions. It is also good to know that the eroge scene here at Fakku has pretty much dried up.
For someone like myself interested in eroges, would you say that the Visual Novel Database is the best choice?

vndb, like other databases for different kinds of media, has the information you need to find titles you're interested in and keep track of what you've played.
For discussion it's okay if a bit confusing in its layout. Everything gets posted as a discussion with each title getting it's own discussion section. If you want general responses, there's a general discussion and specific site discussion section as well. I haven't used them much so can't really say much about them.
You might try 4ch vn vgg boards or fuwanovel for discussion instead. Though again largely outside my experience as a vn reader. I usually just talk about them to myself in the what vn are you playing thread on this site and then occasionally talk about them with a friend or two I skype with.
