I haven't played WoW for a long time and I was wondering if upgrading your account to a Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King account would reset your gameplay time? (I pay for the game via pre-paid cards).
Also, does Wrath of the Lich King require a CD Key? (Sorry if that question sounds stupid!) XD

No. Before upgrading, i prefer to take Trial version ALWAYS! After taking trial THEN Upgrade.
When you take trial and upgrade, you'll get free 1 week gametime (from the trial).
And they do require CD-keys, but i upgraded my account thru internet, didn't bother to buy CD's.
