A Bunch of Short stuff

I can never get used to this. Teleportation sickness allways hits me like a sack of bricks. Sights blurry and the only thing you'll hear for a bit is just loud ringing. And so I hope the minute afterwards will pass faster this time, but that never seems to happen. It didnt happen the past lot of times, that much is clear.
I have no idea when I stranded here or how long I have been teleporting around, trying to find my ship. Hours? Days? Weeks? Couldnt be that long, since I never got to eat or sleep.
I slump to the ground and try to rest for just a minute.
I can feel my sight growing less blurry and try to find out where I am. Looking around theres mostly one thing I can see - Storage Containers. some small, most pretty large but most have been tossed around. Could it be? I glance over the walls and see it - UES Contact Light - Postal Ship.
I smile. I did it. I got home! well, not quite. I'd have to start that ship up again and get the autopilot to take me there.
smiling I suddently feel weary. From when my drop pod crashlanded on this rock I have been nonstop fighting and now, I'm only meters away from getting off here.
And still, so short before my goal I feel tired. My shield grew heavier and heavier by the time and my gun hand has been numb since shortly after I landed. Firing a shotgun one-handed isnt too good an idea.
Shortly before I could doze off my hearing almost fully recovered and I heard a slight rattle. I turn my head and see a window behind me, getting hit by small watter droplets. Its raining. I quitetly laugh to myself. and then another sound filled the air, overpowering the rainclatter. Something was banging at the Blast Door.
I sigh - They are here as well, and being sensitive to teleportation signals they just had to flock here.
I try to enjoy my little vault to rest but from the noise they make outside I feel that they will tear through the door in just a few minutes. And I wouldnt want them catching me napping.
I rapple myself up and grab my gear, wobble over to the door and type an opening command into the door terminal.
The door slowly aches open and I can see a huge wave of this planets hostile wildlife.
"5 minutes if I'm good" I think to myself "an hour tops. After that You can fire that shit upp and sleep while the ship autopilots home" I load up my shotgun and slam my shield in the ground.
"I can do it!" I smile
"I'll get out of here!"

Monster Log - Magma Worm
As soon as I activated the teleporter, I noticed a rumbling. The earth was shaking and suddently a creature burstout of the ground.
The Creature was wormlike and seemed approximately 20 meters in length. but the most prominent of its features was, that its
skin was covered in red hot lava.
The Creature burst from the Ground and extended itself as far as it could, scanning the ground with its six eyes and, within the
fraction of the second it stood, saw me and steered itself so it could crash onto me.
The Worm tried to catch me in its giant jaws and dived headfirst to the ground, drilling itself back into the earth to start
a second assault.
What strikes me the most about this creature was its enourmous heat. I have seen Lava. I have
been on Lava Planets before, but I could Feel the heat this time. The Automatic Cooling Safety System which is embedded in every type of Armor is built to withstand
and suppress heat up to 5000°C but the worm, although being a good 50 meters away, went over this!
Autopsy Report--
After conducting a quick autopsy after killing the creature I noticed that only seconds after the worm died the Lava on its skinn
hardened back to stone. Trying to cut open the worm I noticed that the worm had an enourmous body temperature, which remained until
about 5 hours after it died. Its skin, even without the Lava-Rock layer was extremely hard, in fact it was harder than the
Lava-Stone. I pondered for a while why that is so, but then I noticed something.
The worm, who before easily dove through the ground as if it were water laid on the floor. It didnt sink.
That must be it! the worm uses the ava skin as some kind of Drill-Skin, usin it to melt the ground, keeping it heated by its body temperature!
There was nothing else that seemed odd about the worm besides that, so I conclude my report here.
