Hopefully this goes over well, thought I'd at least contribute, anyway here's the story.

Nejik leaned back stretching and letting out a small groan as he backed away from his monitor.
He eyed the Fakku web page before reaching forward and switching the monitor off, he stood up and pushed his chair in.
“Got too absorbed in the video game forum, I should get going.”
Nejik turned and stepping over the presents at his feet, walked over to the door taking hold of his coat and throwing it around his slim body.
He pulled his hood up over his short black hair and adjusted his red rimmed glasses as he bent down to tie his brown boots.
He threw a black scarf around his neck and opened the door; however he stopped hearing a voice behind him.
“Nejik dinner’s almost done, where are you going?”
Turning to the voice Nejik addressed his roommate who stared at him with an arched eyebrow, Nejik looked at his watch before pointing behind him.
“I’m getting Melissa’s gift, I’ll be back in a little bit.”
“Melissa’s gift? I didn’t know you got her one.”
“Why wouldn’t I? It is Christmas.”
“Is it half a turtledove or something? You are cheap.”
“Funny, no I got her a Fakku shirt and I’m having Mr. Williams hold onto it for me.”
“I go back to my previous statement about how cheap you are.”
“I may be cheap but I’m also observant, while I was on Fakku she brought up that she would like a Fakku shirt, and a short time later I bought one for her and wrapped it. I gave it to Mr. Williams so she wouldn’t suspect anything when she visited.”
“My how considerate of you.”
“Anyway he should still be at the bookstore, good thing he doesn’t close till eleven.”
“Dude you do know its Christmas Eve right?”
“Yeah I know, he’s closed tomorrow that’s why I’m going by today.”
“He closes early today. Did you forget?”
Nejik felt his heart sink at his companion’s words, he stared at him in silence wondering if he was trying to fool him; after a short and very awkward silence he realized that he was being serious.
Taking a deep breath he calmed himself and taking a few steps forward placed his hands on his friend’s shoulders.
“How early?”
“Roughly forty-five minutes, and the bus that goes there just went by, on top of that it’s an hour and a half walk.”
“….Fuck.”
Snow flew up behind Nejik as he shoved people out of his way his breath coming in short burst as he sprinted down the crowded sidewalk past the shining lights and glowing decorations adorning the doors of the shops and buildings.
“Why didn’t I pay more attention? I have to get there; if I don’t give her a present then I’m going to pay for it the rest of the year!”
He ran past a Santa ringing a bell nearly knocking him over and jumped over a man fixing his kids laces in the middle of the sidewalk.
“Santa or whoever’s listening, please hear my plea. I don’t care how, just please let me get that Fakku shirt for my girl. I’ll donate or do whatever! Just please!”
Nejik stopped as a large glow exploded from a nearby alley; hesitating he walked forward and peeked into the alley.
His eyes widened seeing a faint glow fade from a woman, she stepped into the light and Nejik’s heart skipped.
“Momoka….how are you…..but you’re Fakku’s….wait are you an angel sent to help me?”
Momoka stared at Nejik in silence before giving a slight nod, Nejik felt tears well in his eyes as he felt hope return in his heart; he said a silent thank you before turning towards her.
“Okay listen, I need to get my girlfriend’s gift from Mr. Williams at the bookstore in less than-”
He cut himself off checking his watch.
“Fifteen minutes. Please, she…she makes me happy and I’d like to at least give her something back, especially on Christmas.”
Momoka continued to stare at him and Nejik returned her gaze, the snow continued to fall around him and he felt himself getting impatient at the silence.
He opened his mouth to speak however hearing her stomach growl a small sigh escaped from him.
“I did say I’d donate didn’t I…”
Pulling out his wallet he pulled out a twenty and put it in Momoka’s hand before clapping his hands together.
“There take that for food…now please….help me.”
Momoka put the money away before leaning to the side and reaching into the shadows, he questioned what she was doing when she pulled out a silver bat from the alleyway and tapped it on the palm of her hand a few times before meeting his eyes.
“What are you doing with a-”
His sentence was cut off as he felt cold metal slam against the side of his head as Momoka swung at him, as he slumped to the ground he saw Momoka raise the bat again before slamming it down his vision going black.
Nejik’s eyes shot open and he quickly sat up, flinching he touched his head feeling a large bump on it.
Looking around he noticed that he was back in his own room.
He checked the calendar to see that it was Christmas and his heart sank; he let out a sigh before his eyes caught a ribbon under his bed.
Reaching down he pulled up a rectangular present and sat it on his bed, a small note was with it, picking it up he read it out loud.
“Here’s your shirt, Merry Christmas, signed Momoka.”
Nejik stared at the present for a moment before a small smile formed on his face, his door opened and his roommate walked in.
“Ah you’re awake, Melissa is here,”
“Awesome, I can’t wait to give her my gift.”
He saw his roommate rub the back of his head before speaking again.
“She’s wearing a Fakku shirt.”
“…..double fuck!”
“Merry Christmas dude.”
“Please kill me….”
