Ok, truthfully? I don't really remember how all this started, hell, I can't even remember the years after high school. My guess? It was probably something to do with that tech job I had, its the last thing I can remember before the whole waking up in a underground facility. Kind of a rude awakening really, with all the "self-destruct in: ten minutes" blaring, but it wasn't too bad, cliches aside the exits were clearly marked. I made it out easily, even had time to grab project E.R.S.A but to be honest I wasn't that impressed with the self destruct, no blast of fire out of the door, no chunks of ceiling launched into the sky, just a blast door sliding down and the muffled sound of fire, Disappointment aside I was still better off then most, holes aside, I had clothes, so no hilarious naked escapades for me, still had my wallet, and a few bucks too. Cell was dead, but after what turned out to be five years of rift based suspension I wasn't really surprised.
"whats this place called again?" I asked as Steven drove "Lakewood, pretty quite, but it's still pretty nice." he replied. I like steve, out of the twenty people I tried to thumb down he was the only one to stop, not surprised, my hoodie is so shot up i look like Im wearing swiss, not that it mattered much, he was a "known" so he had nothing to be afraid of. I wonder.. "So if you can stop time, why don't you just do that and keep on driving, it would be faster wouldn't it?" "well." he said "it doesn't really work that way. I can stop time for myself and move, but thinks don't work when time is stopped, gas doesn't flow, fuel doesn't ignite. I use to bike, till I got my leg blown off ".
Its just something I threw together, Haven't edited yet to make if flow well.
