Once there's a pumpkin head,
Made of neither metal nor lead,
Waiting for a knight to take it as its head,
And smile as it faces the dead,
So dear reader,
Once curiosity has taken hold,
Do not be afraid, have no fear,
Let the story be told,
Come close, come nearer and take a seat,
There's cold outside in this time of night,
But in here,
There's heat!
Years ago on this very land,
Lived a very, very interesting man,
He devoted to study a creature,
For its beauty and exquisite feature,
However,
He was banished as he brought nothing but fear,
Nevertheless, his goal was set, his mind was clear,
After some time, he knew oblivion was near,
Youth had already left his body,
For every move he make,
His body would ache,
And he would curse upon life's cruelty,
When death reaches his side,
He wishes for immortality,
In return all the rules set he shall abide,
The condition was a matter of lust,
For eternity his body shall last,
Forever he shall live in his prime,
And served as this land's protector from time to time,
He shall be the line between life and dead,
To stay watch and protect while others were in bed,
In silence he shall act,
With no joy or fear he shall react,
To face what others can't stand,
He and those under his command,
Are the heroes the people deserves,
But not the one they need,
In the end, they are still monsters,
As the king had decreed,
Every October’s night,
Even the mightiest beast would hide,
As evil digs its way out of the ground,
And consumes the body of every living things it found,
Once the two forces meet,
The warn night of October shall lost all of its heat,
Swords and shield will clash against claws and teeth,
For it is a battle between the bones and the meat,
War wages over countless nights,
As both forces won't go down without a fight,
Their power was, at first, even,
But they was carrying a heavier burden,
And it shall be the drive to lift their swords,
Even against tens of thousands of hordes,
They shall, and the will turn the odds,
When the battle has come to an end,
A smile is carved on the pumpkin’s face,
As their body dissolve into sand,
and disappear without a trace.
